In this “charming” art activity hosted by local artist Emily Beveridge, we’ll create a plastic charm featuring any design imaginable by using the magic of a toaster oven! Kids of all ages are welcome. 

Jerri Brown from the UpCycle Ohio Community Makerspace will lead several workshops upcycling leftover material and packaging into charming and functional crafts.

Families with young children enjoy a variety of stories, songs, rhymes and movement activities while building early literacy skills.

A teen-led social club that meets weekly to explore tabletop role-playing games (including Dungeons & Dragons). The club meets in the Large Meeting Room, with the Teen Area as a backup space. Recommended for ages 12-18.

Watershed restoration is painting a better way forward. Put your own paint to paper alongside representatives from Rural Action, creating art inspired by work being done to guard against acid mine drainage.

Flex your creativity and test your luck with this popular fantasy tabletop role-playing game. Players of any experience level are welcome. *Ages 12 and up. 

Adults who enjoy writing poetry are invited to share their work and comment on the work others.

Join us from 1-3 pm on Tuesdays for handwork and pleasant conversation. Bring a project to work on: embroidery, knitting, crochet, quilting, mending - whatever you like to do!

Sculpt, move, film! Alex Thomas and Friends will lead us through the fascinating process of combining clay figures and stop-motion animation as we learn the necessary tools and skills to make our own claymation films. *Ages 7 to 14.

Explore the "magic" of magnetism with Librarian Andrea, and create tiny magnetic dancers in Session #1, then make abstract art employing pendulums and magnets in Session #2 . Join one or both programs!  *Ages 10 and up. 

Anyone can work up a thirst in the summer heat, even bees! Learn from Librarians Dawn and Austin how to make a miniature oasis for the pollinators in your garden to give bees a much-needed break in the middle of their busy days.
