Program Description

Event Details

This computer-only workshop is open to beginners, anyone wanting to learn new skills, or for those wanting to brush up on popular programs like Word and Excel. Using free self-paced learning programs such as Northstar Digital Literacy, LinkedIn Learning, and Niche Academy, these weekly workshops will cover topics like:

  • introductory computer, email & Internet skills
  • software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Google Docs
  • using technology in daily life

We'll aim for a mutual learning environment where we can learn from and support each other. Bring your questions, concerns, and an open mind. Paper and pen/pencil for taking notes are good to bring too!

No pre-registration required. Bring your own laptop computer or borrow one for use during the workshop (first come, first served). You're also encouraged to bring your own headphones to hear the lessons (*Headphones may be provided at the first workshop if supplies are available).

If you have questions about this weekly event, contact Sarie Landers, Technology Training Librarian, at 740-592-4272 or slanders@myacpl.org
