Program Description

Event Details

Open to beginners, anyone wanting to learn new skills, or for those wanting to brush up on popular programs like Word and Excel, these weekly workshops will cover topics like

  • introductory computer, email & Internet skills
  • software: Word & Excel (PowerPoint & Google Docs coming soon!)
  • using technology in daily life

We'll aim for a mutual learning environment where we can learn from and support each other. Bring your questions, concerns, and an open mind. Paper and pen/pencil for taking notes are good to bring too!

No pre-registration required. Bring your own laptop computer or borrow one for use during the workshop (first come, first served). You're also encouraged to bring your own headphones to hear the lessons (*Headphones may be provided at the first workshop if supplies are available).

For first-time participants: Feel free to arrive up to 15 min. early to get help setting up your learner account. If you're feeling adventurous you can set up your own learner account ahead of time by clicking HERE - Sign Up to Learn | Northstar Digital Literacy (digitalliteracyassessment.org)
