Event Details
Chair yoga is a gentle practice in which postures are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. This mindful practice leads towards the strengthening of the pelvic floor muscles, back, core, and would be safe for students with Diastasis Recti (at least 6 weeks post birth). This class blends Hatha style yoga and basic ballet technique to build balance, self-awareness, and a mind-body breath connection.
Please come prepared with comfortable clothes. All other supplies will be provided.
Jessica Bouffioux was taught Iyengar style yoga by Meera Sanghani while studying theatre and dance in Chicago. Since then, she's performed with various circus & dance companies and later completed her RYT200 with mentor Jacquie Moku. She's grateful and truly feels at home leading yoga retreats and classes around Southeast Ohio. She hopes to empower yogis to listen to their bodies with compassion.
