Since slime immemorial, kids have asked one and only one question: 

Join us as we turn a blank canvas into a work of art. We'll use acrylic paint to experiment with mixing and blending to create a painting that will bloom year-round.  

*All supplies provided. 

Come each Friday to hang out with fellow homeschool friends and to join in on librarian-led, interactive activities for grade-school kids and teens. 

Join us from 1-3 pm on Tuesdays for handwork and pleasant conversation. Bring a project to work on: embroidery, knitting, crochet, quilting, mending - whatever you like to do!

An activity-based time for school-age kids (ages 7-12) to relax and have fun while exploring new interests and building skills.

Come and spend an hour or two with us at Coolville Public Library as we color away the blues.  Everything will be provided for this class and some light snacks will be available. 

This performance features popular songs that everyone can help to sing! Join us in welcoming these delightful singers under the direction of Stephanie Morris (MM, LPMT, MT-BC, Neurologic Music Therapy Fellow), founder of the choir.

Due to a special program, this month's Manga Club will be on the fifth Friday.

Dawn West has completed over 100 "Diamond Dot" paintings. You may recognize her work from seeing the axolotl at the front entrance of the library! Join us to celebrate Dawn's June art exhibit. Light refreshments will be served. 

Using a STEAM-based approach, we’ll create, test, explore, and connect with some all-time favorite books.

Join Community Food Initiative garden education friends to create art using paints made from natural materials like fruits and veggies. 

Create tie-dyed apparel like a bandana, t-shirt, socks, or even a pillowcase. (Feel free to bring your own items, too.) Teen Librarians Mel and Stacey are excited to help you bring more color into your wardrobe and into your world!

During this open house-style event, partners from local organizations will be providing Pride-related activities and information on local LGBTQIA+ resources for all ages and identities. Refreshments will be served.

In this “charming” art activity hosted by local artist Emily Beveridge, we’ll create a plastic charm featuring any design imaginable by using the magic of a toaster oven! Kids of all ages are welcome. 

Use food coloring, glitter, and a variety of mix-ins with Librarian Taryn to create your own sensory toy. *This could get messy, so dress accordingly. 

Jerri Brown from the UpCycle Ohio Community Makerspace will lead several workshops upcycling leftover material and packaging into charming and functional crafts.

An early childhood music program for children 5 and under.  Bring your little ones and the whole family for fun and spend music time together!  This program will take place on the first and third Saturday of every month. ...

Decorate a quilt square with Librarian Dinisha however your creativity inspires you, and help contribute to this community art project! Our finished quilt will travel to libraries throughout the county for all to enjoy.

Anyone can work up a thirst in the summer heat, even bees! Learn from Librarians Dawn and Austin how to make a miniature oasis for the pollinators in your garden to give bees a much-needed break in the middle of their busy days.
