Program Description

Event Details

The weather on our planet is changing, affecting our oceans and every continent.  Thus the planet itself is changing.  Higher overall temperatures impact our biosphere, from melting polar ice-caps to aridification of arable land, from expanding forest fires to imbalances in marine life populations.  Phases of drought and tropical storms have become steadily more pronounced in sensitive regions.  Our guest speaker Dr. Ryan Fogt is climate scientist and professor of meteorology at Ohio University's Department of Geography.  Fogt will share with us his latest discoveries in the field of atmospheric dynamics, how this is impacting our polar regions and why this is important to us living in Ohio--and everywhere else.
