Event Details
A physician by profession and a keen observer of humanity, Chekhov lived and wrote fiction in the last era of Czarist Russia, but his stories speak to the eternal and universal themes of the human experience. We will be reading and briefly discussing "The Schoolmistress," first published in 1897, and "Lights," from 1888.
These short stories will be read by Librarian Todd.
