Event Details

Savaged by critics in 1826 because of its intense subject matter, this groundbreaking work became a lost novel until its rediscovery in the 1960s. This is an early work of dystopian science fiction set in the late 21st century. Its storyline deals with the interplay of politics, science, and a global pandemic in determining the fate of the human race, set amidst the intrigues of love and survival.

Our discussion leader will be Dr. Nicole Reynolds, associate professor of English and Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies at Ohio University.
