Event Details

Considered by Stephen King to be one of the best novel-length ghost stories of the 20th century, this tale portrays a scientific investigation of a haunted house involving several people, examining the psychological effects on investigators as much as the supernatural elements at work.  Its author Shirley Jackson is most famed for her groundbreaking short story "The Lottery," a tale of social psychology gone awry, and one of the most controversial and provocative stories in American literature.

Our guest discussion leader is Dr. Paul Jones of Ohio University's Department of English.

THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE VIRTUALLY THROUGH GOOGLE MEET.

Registration is required.  Please supply your email address so we can provide you access to this event.
