"How do we shape our world with the words we use and the images we create? I attempt to explore this question through my poems and photographs. By making connections between them, I navigate the different shapes that poetry’s language creates and casts at images already captured. Images I capture with my camera can become poetry envisioned while verse I capture with words can be transformed into different images. Each poem is accompanied by photographs taken recently or long ago. These photos, in turn, reflect the poem in some way. I invite viewers to make their own connections and then ask themselves how they shape their worlds." -- Shei Sanchez
