Join Appalachian Understories for a 10.5 mile guided bike tour along the Hock-hocking Adena Bikeway to the home of Pete Thompson and his homing pigeons! As we pedal through the scenic landscape, we will be immersed in the rich history and natural beauty of the region.
Upon reaching Pete's home, we will have the opportunity for a hands-on learning experience that provides insights into homing pigeon husbandry. As Pete shares his lifelong passion for these remarkable birds we will discuss the incredible homing instincts that guide them across vast distances. Pete's expertise promises an enriching learning experience.
We will depart from the roost and ride back to the library returning at approximately 4pm.
