Did you know these plant facts? Many of the poinsettias we grow today are much less toxic than their wild ancestors. But a single leaf in that lovely oleander shrub you just bought at the local garden center could prove to be lethal! Many of us have no idea there are dangerous poisons lurking in seemingly harmless trees, bushes, flowers, and weeds we grow in and around our homes. In this talk, we will explore the toxins found in common plants, which groups (children, pets, etc.) are most susceptible to poisoning, how the poisons enter the body, some of the common symptoms the poisons present, and non-toxic alternatives for our gardens.Presenter: Brandan Gray
