We welcome Elissa Yoder Mann, Conservation Program Manager of the Ohio Sierra Club and member of Athens Rethink Plastics to talk about the impact of plastic trash on the world's marine realm.  The Earth's oceans form a precious preserve within our planet's overall biosphere, but plastic waste pollution is threatening sea life on the macro and micro levels.  Find out how the marine biosphere is being impacted and what societies and individuals can do to lessen or eliminate the harm done by the unsustainable commercial practices of our mainstream global culture.

This program is part of our Summer at the Library Series Theme: Oceans of Opportunity.
