Program Description

Event Details

Led by Ohio U. upperclassmen philosophy majors Chloe Fabricante and Carys Voinovich, this 3-part series delves into ideas that challenge our thinking and teach us how to reason. We'll explore the roots of Western philosophy in Ancient Greece, where philosophers such as Socrates used public spaces specifically set aside for intellectual discourse (the agora then, the public library in today's world).

Selections from Plato's "Dialogues on the Trial & Death of Socrates" and supplemental articles will be provided.

Space is limited to 15 participants; pre-registration required.
