Program Description

Event Details

The son of a Pennsylvania Steel Worker, Timothy Brown became the first person in his African American family to go to college.  And though there were economic, social and psychological challenges, he persevered, went on to get his doctorate at Ohio University, and became a professor and later a dean of liberal arts in the world of higher education.  His story will inspire you.  His lessons in leadership will galvanize you.  Copies of his memoir (from Monday Creek Publishing) will be available for sale and autograph-signing after his presentation.

Our guest author is traveling to Ohio from Philadelphia.  In the event of bad winter weather, this event will be rescheduled for January 27th, same time, same venue.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Athens Public Library.
