"Painting and sketching have always been a source of peace and comfort for me. Life and time took me away from serious painting and sketching for many years. The pandemic and self-imposed isolation gave me lots of time to revisit my passion for painting. I am an impressionist at heart, and that is reflected in my art. My medium of choice is watercolor. Every painting is a challenge, and watercolor is usually the boss. I continually try to coax and persuade it to give the effects I want. I learn something from every painting. I received a degree in Art Education from Ohio University in 1968. I am a retired teacher of children with disabilities. My husband and I moved to Athens in 1970 and never left." --Linda White Batey

Reception: Tuesday, February 14th at 6:00pm.
