Event Details
The Friends of The Plains Mounds January speaker is Tom O’Grady from the Southeast Ohio History Center.
A longtime advocate for local, natural, cultural, and historic preservation, O’Grady is one of our region’s foremost historians. He gives lectures around the area on such diverse subjects as early barn-builders, historic squirrel invasions, and the legacy of the Hocking Canal.
This overview of Ohio’s mound-building cultures should be interesting to the mound aficionado or to a newcomer looking for an introduction to Ohio prehistory.
