*Happening August 3-10

In this fun make-and-take program participants will learn how to create folded fabric flowers based on the Japanese art of Kanzashi. In addition to kits with supplies for this craft, we will post an instructional video with librarian Erin Hogan, who will show you how to fold 3 different petal shapes and assemble your flowers, which can then be used to decorate barrettes, tote bags, pins, gifts, and more!

This program is a collaboration between the libraries and Upcycle Ohio, home to Athens County Public Libraries' Tool Library.

**Special note: the kit of supplies for this program will be available for pickup at The Community Makerspace***  - located at 751 West Union Street in Athens (across the street from Bedrock Tools and Third Sun Solar), rather than at the libraries, to give you the opportunity to visit this amazing community resource!. (If you cannot pick up your kit there, please let a librarian at the Athens branch know and we can make special arrangements)

Pickup hours for kits at The Community Makerspace will be Tuesday August 3rd-Tuesday August 10th, during their business hours: 2-8pm Tuesday-Friday, 11-5 Saturday, or 12-5pm Sunday.
