Join us for readings and a family-friendly discussion.

Hanna Kraft combines a love of storytelling with her passion for genealogy in her stories, with an aim to reflect the Author of the Greatest Story. When she's not researching family history, you may
occasionally find her playing the banjo, practicing her German, or using a manual typewriter at her home in rural Ohio. Friendship at Flat Creek Road, her book for middle-grade readers, uses material from a family diary.

Irmagaarde is a local author, master lacemaker, and historical interpreter who wrote her book Folklore and Legends from the Little Cities of the Black Diamonds as an introduction to the colorful history of the region and the people who settled it. The author uses a pen name to protect the innocent as well as the guilty. It's her fervent wish to preserve and share the history of the LCBD with as many folks as possible, especially with young people, and to promote community pride
