Program Description

Event Details

We usually think of lizards as living in warmer climates and especially in deserts. And yet, Ohio has five species of its own--one accidentally naturalized from another part of the world. Lizards in our state also keep a low profile, being relatively small, good at camouflage, and very fast, so the average person rarely spots them.

Join Professor of Biology at Ohio University Donald Miles, who specializes in herpetology: the study of reptiles and amphibians.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Athens Public Library.
