On exhibit on the Circulation Area Wall from June 2nd through June 29th.
"When the world shut down, I painted vistas of expansiveness to stay connected to a world that seemed inaccessible. This work is my initial exploration of watercolor, a new medium for me. Most of my artmaking has been as a printmaker and papermaker. Landscapes are a window into the mystery and majesty of the universe. They recall places I've been, as well as dreams for future adventures. They don't have an agenda or hold a point of view, yet they take us out of ourselves and call us to notice our place, our insignificance in the vastness of our world." -- Susan Cole Urano
Exhibit reception: Tuesday, June 7th, 6-7pm. Refreshments courtesy of the Friends of the Athens Public Library.
