"As a three-time cancer survivor, I have realized that life is too short to stay "comfortable". This has led me on a journey to take chances with my art and explore other styles and techniques. As a trained artist in drawing and painting (with oils, primarily), I was constantly doing things I've always done. It was time to break out of that mold and explore. The result of that exploration is in this show. I go from drawing to using colored pencils and watercolors. In my painting, I went from oils to acrylics and collage, incorporating gel printed monoprints in my painting. From there I decided to explore the world of junk journaling - taking 'trash' and turning it into 'treasure'. Life is meant to be explored. I share my explorations in my art.
