Event Details
The Irish-British philosopher, Iris Murdoch wrote an essay called, "The Sublime and the Good", in which she compares the aesthetic and moral views of Leo Tolstoy and Immanuel Kant. And then she offers her own view. We will be discussing her view, whose brief text will be supplied at the beginning of the event for participants to read, and then a discussion will follow, led by retired professor of St. John's College, Jack Wales.
