Green Mantle Studio: Ceramic Art

On exhibit in our Glass Display Cases from April 2nd thru April 29th.

"My name is Kelly Lawrence, I came to Athens in 1983 to attend Ohio University.  I studied art and received my BFA in Sculpture in 1990.  Afterwards, I became a permanent resident and eventually started my business in 2000.

"Over the years I have built a wide range of customers who appreciate my natural aesthetic.  Much of my work is a representation of the research I do - I have a passion for the ancient Celtic culture and mythology which I strive to capture in my art.  Trees were as sacred to the Celts as they are now to me.

"Every piece made by me is unique and made lovingly with my own hands.  I never see any of my pieces as being mundane or repetitive - every piece has it’s own differences.  I hope you find the passion in my work to your liking and feel free to visit it again and again."
