This is an international project that features textile art by members of Chile Quilters of Santiago Chile, in collaboration with Textile Artists Of Southeast Ohio (TASO).

Textile artists and teachers from Chile traveled to the United States in August of 2019 to exhibit ten of their art quilts.  The trip was sponsored by Bernina Chile to promote a month-long, side gallery exhibit of their work during Quilt National 2019 at The Dairy Barn Arts Center, Athens, Ohio.  The same summer, eight textile artists came together at the Dairy Barn to form TASO, Textile Artists of Southeast Ohio.

Both groups realized that they were presented with a great opportunity for organizing a future cooperative exchange for quilting inspiration.  A decision was made to encourage artistic expressions via a theme that allowed for creative work without constraints.  And thus, Flora, Fauna, and Landscape was created to focus on the habitat each artist lived in and showcases each artist's textile art style.

The Chile Quilters are Maria Paz Avalos, Sandra Mejias, Patricia Perez-Canto Caffrey, Pilar Donosa, Michele Gafford, Maria Elena Hernandez, Carolina Leiva, Christina Rodgers, Loreta Silva and  Francie Sills.

The Textile Artists of Southeastern Ohio artists are Wendy Denenhart, Danette Pratt,  Lanna Galloway, Bev Kelbaugh, Meta Van Nostran, Mary Roediger, Cindy White and Teresa Faires Winning.

Special thanks goes to the Dairy Barn, SAQA, and SDA for their support.
