Dr. Art Cromwell, Associate Professor of Media Arts and Studies at Ohio University, will unearth media artifacts about African American soldiers (and their families on the home front) who reasoned that helping to make the world safe for democracy should also involve ending segregation in America. In other words, The Double V: "Victory in the World, Victory at Home!"

This Carter G. Woodson Black History Month Presentation is Co-Sponsored by the Friends of the Athens Public Library and Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) Southeast Ohio.
