"Cosplay or 'costume play' is an activity and performance art in which participants wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a science fiction, anime, or video game character. Portraiture captures life being lived, and cosplay photography expresses living life unapologetically. Cosplayers do what they do for the love of the characters they portray and the stories those characters represent. This dedication, this passion, is what I wish to capture in my photography." -- Garrick Rosario
