Buzz about Bees

Educator Ed Brown is back to talk about our declining bee population and what we can do to help them. Come and listen to his helpful advice on how to support our natural pollinator numbers thrive in our area. All ages are welcome.

Presenter Bio: Ed Brown has been the Ohio State University Extension Educator in Athens County for a decade after serving in the same role in Arkansas.  His background is in livestock production, forages, home/commercial horticulture, forestry, and natural resources. Ed is originally from Athens County, growing up in the Amesville area, where he attended Amesville Elementary before moving out of state. He's taken over his grandparent’s farm, where he's restoring the old home on a daily basis and plants new fruit trees, brambles, and ornamentals.
