Bird populations across the world are falling, including here in Ohio. Loss of habitat, the rise of outdoor cat populations, and the more intense use of pesticides and herbicides are chief causes. But is there anything we as individuals can do to help stem this decline?  Guest speaker Stefan Gleissberg, a key member of Athens Area Birders, will discuss the problem of diminishing numbers of bird species in the two areas where he is an active birder: here in the United States and his native Europe. Learn how we can make our communities and our own yards healthy, safe, and nurturing havens for avian wildlife.
