Tortoises switch between basking in the sun and seeking shade to regulate their body temperature. In North America, desert-dwelling tortoises dig burrows or seek shelter in rock crevices or under plant cover to avoid the heat. How is a changing environment impacting desert tortoises?

Our guest speaker is Julia Joos, a doctoral candidate in Ohio University's Department of Biological Studies.
