Author Event: Ron Luce

Join Ron Luce, local author of The Millfield Mine Disaster, as he recounts the events of November 5th, when 82 miners lost their lives, the investigation that followed, and expert findings. Following the presentation, there will be a brief Q&A session.

Ron Luce has an M.A. and a Ph.D. from Ohio University. After retiring from teaching, he served as the director of the Athens County Historical Society and Museum where his research into the Millfield Mine Disaster began and then worked in the field of recovery for people with substance use disorders. He writes short stories, poems, and novels. His novel, Star Late Rising will be released soon.
