Come see how wool fiber is processed and spun into yarn, to then be transformed through natural dye methods for use in clothing. Demonstration will include raw wool processed through historical manual methods and DIY natural dye processes for plant and animal fibers. Explanation of translation from yarn to clothing will be investigated.

 

Sasha Sigetic has been a regenerative livestock farmer and crafter for over a decade. She brings her expertise to the role of Program Director at The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association in concert with her own small farm operation in Meigs County Ohio. 

 

Coral Wedel is the founding Program Manager for Hocking College’s Fashion Design and Retail Merchandising program and the Designer-Owner of a consciously hand-crafted slow fashion collection. She has worked in many capacities within the industry since 2005, finding focus in sustainable slow fashion.
