Arts in October: Natural Spinning and Dyeing Workshop

In this program, come learn about methods for spinning wool into yarn with a spinning wheel and Turkish drop spindle and how to dye yarn using foraged natural materials.

During our Arts in October month, the Athens Library will also host a program on learning tapestry-style weaving. The weaver will be set up in the library daily from 12-2pm to weave and will welcome people to come weave with him during these times, and we will be integrating the hand-spun and dyed yarn from this program into our community weaving project. He will also host an Intro to Weaving program on October 2nd from 6-7:30pm.
