Event Details
Geoffrey Chaucer is a figure of world literature for many reasons, including his empathy for people of all walks of life and attention to the details defining the lives of so many kinds of people. Not the least of his abilities lies in his ability to convincingly evoke the psyches of women, which bears out a suspicion he must have been a keen observer and deep listener. This book club will focus on women characters of The Canterbury Tales, including Chaucer's storytellers themselves and the characters within the tales told.
Our guest speaker is retired professor, Dr. Marsha Dutton, an active scholar in Medieval literature.
Registration is required. Please supply your email address and cell phone number in order to access the event through video or audio.
THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE VIRTUALLY THROUGH GOOGLE MEET.
