Since we'll be racing teapot roadsters, we thought we'd alsopresent the teapot in another creative guise: a teapot fashion show!
A tea cosey is a knitted covering for a teapot to keep its
contents warm for a prolonged social gathering over this beloved
beverage. Crafting them to be more than merely practical in design
dates back to the Victorian period, when people began making them to
look like serving maids or butlers. Barbara Miller & Athens
County Knitters have produced a show of imaginative tea cosies that
run the gamut of knitted figure designs, evoking everything from
droll human characters to animals from nature and mythical creatures!
