Our Athens branch invites all ages to this year’s Steampunk Spectacle 2018: From the Earth to the Moonon Saturday, September 29 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm!Playful reinterpretations of Victorian social customs and clothing, scientific
speculation, and inventive gadgets. Presentations, workshops, and social
amusements. Costumes and accoutrements encouraged! *Registration required for workshops. Call 740-592-4272 or visit the Athens library to register as early as 1 week in advance of the scheduled workshops. The lunar theme for this year's festival is taken from the Victorian science fiction novels From the Earth to the Moon and Around the Moon by Jules Verne, and First Men in the Moon by H. G. Wells.
