The Souper Bowl 's Ceramic Bowls

"The Athens Area Mediation Service is a nonprofit organization that provides the residents of Athens County, Ohio, with cooperative approaches to dispute resolution. AAMS is dedicated to promoting and supporting reconciliation, integrity, openness and inclusion. In addition, by training community members to serve as mediators and sharing these skills with others, AAMS empowers individuals and community groups to respond to conflict effectively.

"The Souper Bowl is an annual fundraising event to raise money for the on-going operations of AAMS. Taking place on March 22 at the Athens Community Center, soup is provided by a number of local restaurants. Ceramic bowls are donated by area artisans. A sampling of the bowls are included in the display. The ticket price for the event includes selection of a bowl to keep and all you can eat." -- Jim Sand
