The Man in the High Castle: Part One [VIRTUAL PROGRAM]

Philip K. Dick is considered one of the finest American writers of science fiction, who imagined unusual social and psychological realities of the future.  With his Hugo Award-winning novel, The Man in the High Castle, he speculated about an alternative (even parallel) reality rather than a future one: what if the Axis Powers had won World War II and carved up the United States between them?  How would ordinary people have adapted to and survived in America, and sought to work around, escape or possibly overthrow the occupational government?  With this novel, Dick makes a personal story of a high stakes situation, showing how people just trying to survive can get swept up in a bigger game.  To make things even more fascinating, this alternate Earth has been receiving quantum rumors of a happier Earth where the Allies won.
