Let's Capture the Cosmos! Astrophotography

Join us as we learn to explore the night sky from your own backyard in Southeast Ohio. This talk and Q&A session, with local astrophotographer, Ryan Steere, will discuss the art of astrophotography and how it’s possible to capture the cosmos from home. Ryan will speak on his 5-year journey of photographing the stars before providing example images and detailing how the photos were made possible. Image subjects of varying difficulty, including the moon, planets, various nebulae, nearby galaxies, and our own Milky Way Galaxy will be discussed. Practical explanations will be provided to equip those in attendance with the knowledge necessary to begin their own night-sky photography endeavors.
