"For the past few years I’ve been staying close to home managing breast cancer and an autoimmune disease. It's been a challenge, and my home has been my refuge. I’ve surrounded myself with my favorite old furniture and quirky stuff I love, so naturally those things have become the subject of my paintings – my home, my belongings, my garden, my neighborhood – the things that bring me peace and comfort." -- Mary Chamberlain
