There are 422 million speakers of Spanish in the Western Hemisphere, and it is the official language of 19 countries in our half of the world.  In the United States there are well over 43,000,000 people who speak Spanish in the home.  Latinx American Spanish and its associated cultures bring a richness and creativity of expression to our whole geographic hemisphere.  Join us to learn why this diversity is something to celebrate and enrich everyone's life.

Presented by Gabriela Castañeda-Gleason, Assistant Professor of Linguistics at Ohio University.
