Program Description

Event Details

Make your own Cyanotypes exactly how AnnaAtkins did in the first-ever photography book Photographs
of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions!
Participants will expose light-sensitive paper under the sun to
create one-of-a-kind, blue photograms. We’ll also use foliage from
surrounding areas, cut paper and other common objects in our designs.
Workshop leader and photo-historian Andrew Musil will begin the
workshop by sharing a brief presentation on the invention of
photography, showing real examples of early processes such as
daguerreotypes, calotypes, and copperplate photogravures. 15 participants may register -- registration begins September 23rd.
