Event Details
Acclaimed novelist John Thorndike wrote about his experience taking care of his father after the latter succumbed to Alzheimer's disease. This new edition of an award-winning memoir features a brand new introduction where the author reflects on that time in his life with his father, and brings in some updated information about Alzheimer’s and caregiving. This new edition also includes a readers’ guide in the back to make it convenient for group discussions.
In recognition of National Caregivers Month, the author John Thorndike will join us to talk about the book and read sample passages. After the talk, the author will sell and autograph copies.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Athens Public Library.
MOUTH AND NOSE MASKING REQUIRED TO ATTEND.
