Art in the Library: Momma's Crafty

Athens native Nell Ann Sands retired after a 35-year career at Ohio University. Upon her retirement, she found herself crocheting baby blankets for friends. She was encouraged to start selling them, and this is how Momma’s Crafty was started.

One year later, she not only crochets baby blankets, but makes many other items as well. She also makes home decor and loves to upcycle old items.
