Around the World Through Art: the work of Jakin Bass

Hi! My name is Jakin Bass, and my hometown is Albany, Oh. I have been interested in art for seven years. I’ve entered and placed in Ohio’s local and state SAR Poster and Brochure contests. I have worked with charcoal, watercolor, pencil, paint, paper mache, and clay. My favorite medium is watercolor. It can be challenging because you have to make sure the assorted colors do not mix and the paper is not too wet. Also, I like to sketch landscapes, people, and animals, especially horses. I have always wanted to travel, and through this project I have been able to experience different cultures. I hope you enjoy this display as you journey through the world.

Exhibit reception: Tuesday, August 2, 4-5:30pm, with a presentation by the artist.
