Join Community Food Initiative garden education friends to create art using paints made from natural materials like fruits and veggies.

Use food coloring, glitter, and a variety of mix-ins with Librarian Taryn to create your own sensory toy. *This could get messy, so dress accordingly. 

Create tie-dyed apparel like a bandana, t-shirt, socks, or even a pillowcase. (Feel free to bring your own items, too.) Teen Librarians Mel and Stacey are excited to help you bring more color into your wardrobe and into your world!

Using a STEAM-based approach, we’ll create, test, explore, and connect with some all-time favorite books.

Join members of the Athens Conservancy for a color walk through the forest, where you can focus on finding one color, or we'll see how many wonderful shades we can find together.

Spend Tuesday afternoons playing this popular fantasy, tabletop role-playing game. You do NOT have to be an experienced player -- everyone is welcome.

Local musician Steve Zarate will perform a color-themed live concert with songs from artists such as Neil Diamond, R.E.M., Jimi Hendrix, and many more.

Jerri Brown from the UpCycle Ohio Community Makerspace will lead several workshops upcycling leftover material and packaging into charming and functional crafts.

Join us on the first Friday of the month. We have a variety of games available - board games, card games, Wii games, street games. Snacks provided. For all ages.

Flex your creativity and test your luck with this popular fantasy tabletop role-playing game. Players of any experience level are welcome. *Ages 12 and up. 

Get up close and personal with big trucks, and hear from the people who drive them. See cool vehicles of various shapes, sizes, and colors at the library, and learn more about how they are used in our everyday lives.

In this “charming” art activity hosted by local artist Emily Beveridge, we’ll create a plastic charm featuring any design imaginable by using the magic of a toaster oven! Kids of all ages are welcome.
