Week Calendar

Meet weekly to explore tabletop role-playing games (including Dungeons & Dragons) with a group of teens and adults enthusiastic about this hobby. We’ll meet in the large conference room, with the Young Adult area as a backup space.

Spend Tuesday afternoons playing this popular fantasy, tabletop role-playing game. You do NOT have to be an experienced player -- everyone is welcome.

We have lots of board games on hand, including Uno, Monopoly, Hanabi, Guillotine, Poetry for Neanderthals, Forbidden Island, Forbidden Desert, Dixit, Yahtzee, Adventure Time Munchkins, Zombie Dice, Exploding Kittens, Pandemic, Takenoko, and more.

Do your pants need patched? Does your hat have holes?

Get into the Halloween spirit by joining us for an evening of painting and assembling your very own earrings.

Chess (k)Night is a casual, open chess meet-up for teens and young adults that welcomes all skill levels! Players will have an opportunity to learn, practice, and meet other community members interested in chess.

Join us on the first Friday of the month. We have a variety of games available - board games, card games, Wii games, street games. Snacks provided. For all ages.

Come learn the basics of tapestry-style weaving!

Self-taught weaver Dennis Miller hand-built a loom from scratch and will bring his loom to the Athens Public Library for the month of October.

Join us to watch a family-friendly anime movie! Suggestions for specific titles rated G or PG are welcome. Otherwise, we will vote for options chosen by the librarian.
