NCBC is a book club designed to include developmentally disabled adults.We read books together, discuss them, and then celebrate with a party. All or no reading ability is acceptable.

Come play with us!

We'll explore books, play games, sing songs, and enjoy each other's company in this open-ended playtime. Older siblings are welcome to follow along.

Walk with us!  We will be meeting each week at the Friends' Meeting House in Chauncey to walk a one-mile loop through the Village of Chauncey for exercise and conversation.

Can you build the tallest tower, strongest bridge, or the most creative scene? Put your LEGO skills to the test and become a Master Builder with these cooperative building tasks. (Leave your LEGOS at home; the library has plenty.)

Get up close and personal with big trucks and the people who drive them.  See cool vehicles at the library and learn more about how they are used. 

Local re-enactor Gary George has been doing living history camping since 1990, focusing on the 1790’s. He has had a long interest in history and in keeping the old ways alive.

Come hear stories of travel by foot, thumb, and rail!

Get to know the animals big and small that live around the library. Come learn about bugs, bird calls, and binoculars with Rural Action.
