Join us for stories, songs and more that encourage development of early literacy skills in young children.  Ages 3-5

Revisit your childhood, and make lovely pictures of nature using this time-tested method while enjoying a relaxing atmosphere and good company.

On Halloween eve, creep into the library... to create your own terrifying toy zombies, ghouls, and other haunting sights! We'll provide all kinds of dolls and doll parts for you to spook-ify, as well as candy and tunes. Costumes encouraged!

On the last Thursday of every month, meet other players, trade cards (we have plenty to share!), and enjoy themed games and crafts hosted by librarian Rachel.

Meet every week to practice your Spanish in a friendly community setting! Native speakers and those interested in improving their language skills are equally welcome. Free and open to the public.

Each week, a group of Ohio University students will bring a favorite snack as well as a craft, game, or activity from their own childhoods to share with Chauncey kids.

After recently returning from a 6-week journey through the so-called “southern cone” of South America, Dr. Jonathan Maffay will share stories, photos, and music from that fascinating region.
