Join us for stories, songs and more that encourage development of early literacy skills in young children.  Ages 3-5

Bring the family to make a "ghostly" battery-operated tea light. Also using clay and stickers, you can create the cutest little ghost you've ever seen-- you may even want to keep it out after Halloween. 

All supplies are provided.

Meet every week to practice your Spanish in a friendly community setting! Native speakers and those interested in improving their language skills are equally welcome. Free and open to the public.

Got games? Gather in the Teen Area on the first Thursday of every month for snacks and video games, board games, puzzles, cards, and whatever other fun we can think up! A great chance to try new things and hang out with your friends. 

Meet twice a month to explore some new tabletop role-playing games.  A great way to get together with other teens and young adults for some gaming fun.

1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month.

Each week, a group of Ohio University students will bring a favorite snack as well as a craft, game, or activity from their own childhoods to share with Chauncey kids.

Originally published in German in 1947, then published in English in 2009 after being rediscovered, Hans Fallada’s novel is also an excellent example of historical fiction that hews very close to pure history.
